Voting In Oregon? All You Need Is One Stamp

Voters in Oregon have until November 8 to return their ballots.

No matter where you live in Oregon, all you need is a single first-class stamp if you want to return your ballot by mail. Oregon Secretary of State Jeanne Atkins said ballots in all 36 counties are small enough that just one "Forever" stamp is all it takes.

But Atkins said you can still vote if you don't have a stamp at all.

"If you want to avoid the postage issue altogether, there are ballot drop boxes all through the state in almost all communities in the state,” she said.

You can find the nearest drop box to you on the Secretary of State's elections website. Voters have until November 8 to return their ballots.

Most Washington voters also need just one stamp to mail in their ballots. But voters in three Washington counties -- Snohomish, Whatcom and Douglas -- need additional postage.
